On the Death of Osama bin Laden:
VVA Offers Its Congratulations on a Job Well Done

Washington, D.C.--"We offer our thoughts and prayers to the families of those whose loved ones have perished during Osama bin Laden's reign of terror," said VVA National President John Rowan. "It has been nearly ten years since the villainous attacks of September 11, 2001, and, at long last, justice has been served."

"On behalf of a grateful nation, we offer our heartfelt gratitude for the courage and commitment of those men and women of our intelligence community, our armed forces, and our allies—those who have spent years tracking bin Laden and who set him up for the kill, those who conduct our special Ops missions, especially our SEALS, all who worked ceaselessly in bringing bin Laden to justice," said Rowan."

"To the Obama Administration, we offer our sincere congratulations on a job well done, and stand with you in the coming days and months in the battle to stop al-Qaida in its mission of terror," said Rowan.

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is the nation's only congressionally chartered veterans service organization dedicated to the needs of Vietnam-era veterans and their families.  VVA's founding principle is “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another.”
