Panel to Hear Oral Arguments On
112/SHAD Chem-Bio, Radiological Testing Cases

Veterans of chemical, biological, and radiological testing during the Cold War will be present at oral arguments before a three-judge panel that will hear an appeal of a lower court decision unfavorable to the plaintiffs. The lawsuit, in which Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is the lead plaintiff, charges individuals in the Department of Defense with obfuscating and concealing information that veterans need to make claims for service-connected compensation with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Interviews with plaintiffs and their attorneys can be arranged by contacting Bernard Edelman at VVA, 301-585-4000 ext. 118, prior to the court hearing.

Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at 9:30 a.m.

Federal District Court, 333 Constitution Avenue, 5th Floor, Washington, D.C.

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is the nation's only congressionally chartered veterans service organization dedicated to the needs of Vietnam-era veterans and their families.  VVA's founding principle is “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another.”
