(Washington, D.C.) - Vietnam Veterans of America President Thomas H. Corey announced today that the organization, in cooperation with Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV, will sponsor a photo exhibit November 4-8 in the Senate Russell Office Building Rotunda. The exhibit will consist of 40 photographs taken over the last twenty years by VVA staff photographer Michael Keating.

“These photos are amazingly evocative and provide vivid images of the Vietnam veterans movement, of which VVA has played a large role, and the history of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial,” Corey said. “We are particularly proud of Michael Keating’s work. Michael has for many years taken countless memorable photographs of veterans, of The Wall, and of other veteran-related activities, primarily for our newspaper, The VVA Veteran. We are proud and pleased to share a portion of his work with the public.”

The exhibit is free and open to the public. This Veterans Day VVA joins the nation in commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Among other activities, VVA will sponsor a March to Remember along Constitution Avenue beginning at 9:00 am on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11.

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is the nation's only congressionally chartered veterans service organization dedicated to the needs of Vietnam-era veterans and their families.  VVA's founding principle is “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another.”
