ALAN BROWNSTEIN TO ADDRESS VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA
BUFFALO, N.Y.- President
and Chief Executive Officer of the American Liver Foundation (ALF) Alan
Brownstein will address attending members the Vietnam Veterans of
America’s at their 8th biennial National Leadership
Conference. The event is
scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2000, at the Buffalo Hyatt
Regency in the Grand Ballroom.
As a national spokesperson and advocate for hepatitis C awareness
representing several ALF chapters across the nation, Mr. Brownstein will
discuss advances in public awareness of this “silent virus”
affecting almost 5 million Americans and a disproportionate amount of
Vietnam era veterans. From his efforts, the American Liver Foundation’s has
launched a Veterans Council dedicated to outreach, education and
advocacy efforts for veterans. This
national veterans council is made up of the top medical leadership,
representatives from the leading veterans service organization and the
Veterans Health Administration.
