VETERANS OF AMERICA BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND STATE COUNCIL PRESIDENTS CONVENE
Veterans of America (VVA) convene quarterly meetings at the Double Tree Hotel,
300 Army Navy Drive, Crystal City, Virginia, 27-29 April, 2000.
In addition to regularly scheduled working sessions, VVA members plan
several events to honor the end of the war in Vietnam and withdrawal from
Saigon 25 years ago.

Veterans Memorial on the Mall at 6 – 8 a.m., 29 April, 2000, to wash the
memorial panels. Members involved
in the cleanup will include Ronnie and Diane French, parents of Heather Renee
French, Miss America.
will sponsor a commemorative 25th Anniversary Service at the
National City Christian Church (non-denominational), 5 Thomas Circle, NW,
Washington, DC, at 5:30 p.m., 29 April, 2000.
The hour-long service will include music, a special reading of letters
and poetry. The keynote address will be given by Senator Chuck Hagel of
